Our neighbor gave Aubryn some leotards. She put this one on tonight to wear to her tumbling class. Reagan walked in and saw her in it for the first time and said, "You a princess? You What the Heck Princess? You have pook-a-dots? You have chocolate pook-a-dots!"
I love the way he says pook-a-dots. Poke rhymns with book. He says "boogers" the same way. He says the first part of the word like "boo" (the Halloween boo). Yesterday he announced to me, "Mom! I got my boooger out!"
...that Aubryn can play out in the snow for an hour, come in, change her clothes, eat a snack, and play for another hour before either of us finally notice THIS!!!Does she feel pain???!
My kids LOVE to eat snow. They were outside for awhile, but got cold really fast. It is so much work to bundle them all up! So I brought snow into the house and let them play with and eat it. I thought it was a really good idea. They got the benefits of the snow without freezing and I don't have to take a half hour to bundle them up, only to have them come back in in a few minutes.
I walked across the kitchen while the kids played with/ate their snow and got hit in the neck with a snow ball! I looked over and saw that Reagan was really pleased with himself for hitting a moving target. "I hit your neck!" I scolded him. Then turned so he couldn't see my face and giggled to myself. I should have known. How could he resist throwing the snow at someone.
Brad: "MoooOOOooom, Reagan in breathing in my face!"
Aubryn: I said to her, "Aubryn you are getting taller and prettier everyday!" She replied, "And soon I'll be just like you!" (melt my heart)
I asked her what she did at a friends house one day. She said, "All I did is watch TV and pee my pants."
She innocently got the word "manual" mistaken for the words "magna doodle". That was confusing for a bit, but funny when we realized why neither of us understood what the other was talking about.
Reagan: I asked him this morning (after much whining), "Are you going to be happy today?" "NO, not yet. Not later!!" he said.
Yesterday he said something to me that made no sense. Something about that he was 3 now and could do something that has nothing to do with age. Then said, "It makes sense or something!" It was like he read my thought of, "That doesn't make any sense."
Reagan crawled across the floor and when he touched me we felt a SHOCK! "Owe!" I said, "That was a shock!" I figured he didn't know what he had felt.
He replied, "A shark got us? I don’t like sharks. I like whales."
-
And if you upset Reagan in any way lately you will hear,"You don’t get a wowwy pop(lolly pop) for Tristmas! You don’t!! No. Not ever again. But I do."
-
Another Reagan quote, "I want money. Give me monies!" Reagan loves to carry money around. One in each hand is the best! Then he likes to put it in his pocket. Then back in his hands. He will show everyone he meets his money and ask them for more. I figure if $.02 can entertain him that much, then great. But this is proving to be a poor investment. Another Reagan quote, "Where’s my Money!?"
Imagine Reagan's BIG eyes when he saw a waterfall full of money at Temple Square on Saturday.

Happy birthday to AUBRYN!!Finally, you are 5!Now all your dreams will come true!At least I hope so, or you will be really disappointed.I hope that 5 is all you hoped for.
I love Aubryn! She can get along with anyone! She is always ready for a good time. She is super fun.She loves to help me in the kitchen. She can’t wait to be a mommy. She loves make-up.Aubryn is a tough girl, which is a good thing because she does tend to fall and run into things.I often hear, “[ka-boom] I’m okay!”She hops up and away she goes.
I hope you have a great day, Aubryn!I am SO lucky to have you!
At the concert last night, Aubryn had a special birthday song!
Post edit: the first thing Aubryn did this morning was try my bra on. I guess she really had high hopes for this birthday.

One year ago today was a very bad day.A day I have worked to let go of.Not forget, just let go.Our lives have been forever changed.
I asked Brian what he has learned in the last year.“Life is fragile. [pause]Life is good.”
“What is so good about it?” I asked.
“Just being with you.” He replied with his arms wrapped around me.
He is a man of few words.I waited to see if he would say more. Then I said, “Maybe I should ask you an insurance question.”He can explain to someone their insurance policy in at least three different ways.
“No, please.”
But I understood. No more words were needed.
So, I thought to myself, “What have I learned?”(I am not a woman of few words.)
I have learned that we can persevere through hard things.
I have learned that prayer is powerful.
I have learned that God is mindful of us.He loves us and never forgets us.
I have learned that I can trust Brian and the decisions he makes.
I have learned that Brian is strong.
I have learned that I am strong.
I have learned that kids notice and feel and live through the hard things too.
I have learned to let God’s will be my will.
I have learned to be grateful.Don’t take anyone, anything, or any day for granted.
I have learned to recognize blessings.
I have learned I can be happy, no matter what.
And I too have learned that life is fragile. One breath. One heartbeat.
And that LIFE IS GOOD!
I thought I had already learned many of these things! But I guess I needed to learn them again. And continue to learn them. I may never be done.
Please come to THIS BENEFIT CONCERT AND SILENT AUCTION. It will be a great family night activity. I will have some artwork in the auction. It will be fun. See you there!!

Aubryn talking for the smaller Ariel figure: "Mom, I met a new guy." Aubryn talking for the bigger Ariel figure: "A spikey guy?"
A few days ago after Reagan was done on the potty, I was wiping his bottom. He was bent forward with his head between my legs and I was leaning over top of him when he said, "Mom, How's it going?"
Brian, You have MUCHO AMIGOS!!! I love you with all my heart. Even in that hat! (and those pants, OH MY!! They still fit!) Hope you have a super birthday! Love, Anj
