Buyer's Remorse
Have you ever had it? I did. But I fixed it. You can see here!

Reagan
This morning I heard Reagan scooting the stool over to the counter. As his mother, I read his mind. I knew he was planning to get some of the tootsie rolls sent to him by his Grandma (thank you). But it was a little early for candy. So I said from the top of the stairs, "Reagan, no candy."
"Oh-tay." he said. Then he came to the bottom of the stairs and said, "Mom, you doe away. (go away)" He often asks me to leave when there is something he wants to do that he knows he shouldn't. I wouldn't leave and he was getting really upset. I sat on the stairs. I tried to lighten his mood and change the subject. But he was persistant that I leave. I began singing. I am not a good singer and I could tell I was really getting on his nerves. Especially because I was singing, "No. no. no."
"Mom! Stop singing no no no!"
"Yes. yes. yes." was my next song.
Mom! Stop singing yes yes yes!"
"Maybe. maybe. maybe."
"Mom! Stop singing may-be be be!"
So I sat on the stairs and frowned.
"Mom! Stop singing [big frown on his face]!"

Happy Gas
When Brad was two I was buckling his brother in his car seat and came around the back of the car to find Brad dancing in the exhaust and singing something like, “[deep inhale] Mmmm! This smells good!” I thought, “Whaah?!”
Later in his life we were at a gas station. Brian was filling up the car with gas and left his door open. I reached over and closed it and said, “Whew! It stinks!” Brad profusely disagreed. “No sir! It smells good. It is my favorite smell.”
Today Brad came home from school. I had spent the day refinishing our dining table and had painted oil-based polyurethane all over the table top and chair seats. The smell was intense. I had the fan going and the window open. Brad walked in, took a deep breath, and said with a big smile on his face, “Smells good in here!”
Don’t worry, I’ve already discussed it is wrong to sniff things like glue and paint with him. I see it as a potential problem.

Why Me?
I wasn't sure if I was going to post this. I wrote it about a month ago.
Why me?
I don’t like that question. At all. I usually ask, “Why not me?” But now I don’t like that question either. There is purpose in all things!
I thought more on it and I really pondered, “Why do these hard things happen to me? What is there for me to learn?” Here are some ideas:
So that I can feel the Savior’s love for me
So I can develop a deeper relationship with God
So I can feel peace from the Holy Ghost
So I can see miracles
So I can learn patience
So I can become stronger
So I can be more grateful
So I can develop a deeper relationship with my husband
So I can recognize my blessings
So I can always keep an eternal perspective
So my testimony can grow
So we can be blessed

Happy Easter
"...and they never did look upon death with any degree of terror, for their hope and views of Christ and the resurrection; therefore, death was swallowed up to them by the victory of Christ over it."

2 for 1
Aubryn really wants a girl baby. She prays for a girl baby in every prayer. Last night she got to hold a cute baby girl. She loved it. She smiled. She said to me, "Maybe they will trade this girl baby for two boy babies!"

Diaper Service
The Young Women in our ward were doing a service scavenger hunt last week and came by my house. The first group of girls was not interested in changing Reagan's stinky bottom. The next group of girls was willing. They stood in front of Reagan and we asked him who he wanted to have change his diaper. He looked carefully at his choices and slowly walked up to me. I wasn't sure if he would go for a strange, but lovely girl changing his diaper. But he surprised me. He was relaxed and didn't seem to mind when all four of the girls tackled the diaper together. I think he kind of liked all the attention. He struck up a conversation with them. "I watch a movie..."
