Little Artist

I've been working on this painting to hang in our living room. I can never seem to do much at a time. I only work on it when Reagan is sleeping. I'm hoping to get it done before the baby arrives. (along with everything else on my long list) When I walked in this room last night I looked at the painting and went, "AHHH?!!!" Someone had helped.
Look close and you can see. Brian had been doing some touch up painting on some walls that had been scratched. Aubryn found the brush and painted on this painting and the desk. She's not to bad!
I feel like most of the posts lately have been about Aubryn. So here are some updates on the others. Brad is planning a parade. We went to a parade Saturday and got more candy than on Halloween! We watched fireworks last night. We had a perfect view from our backyard while we roasted marshmellows. It was great. Brad had fallen and scraped his knee. He's been limping pretty bad when he remembers.
Reagan is busy and funny. He tries to copy just about anything you say. He still hates nursery. He really makes me laugh. He gives me kisses.
Brian mowed the lawn again yesterday for the third time. It is a BIG job. The mower ran out of gas before he was done and he filled it up to mow. At our old home it took him 15-20 minutes to mow the front and back. And he filled the gas tank maybe once a month. Big change. He is also growing his hair out. I'm not sure why or what is in his head about it. He has always had it buzzed short. I guess that is what happens when you are no longer in a leadership position at church. Yesterday, in his hat, his hair flipped out the sides and back... I kind of like it. He looks cute.

Nice to meet you

last night our new neighbor came over to introduce herself. I invited her in and we were giving basic introductions when Aubryn ripped a long, loud, you know what. Well, that is a great first impression! The neighbor was nice, she just giggled. Aubryn told me later, "Everyone toots, Mom."

Where's Aubryn!!?

Scary!! We could not find Aubryn within seconds of walking out of stake conference today. We were at the tabernacle in downtown Ogden. It was filled to overflowing. People were flooding out all the doors. Cars were pulling out everwhere. I was panicing inside. I was looking everywhere and moving as fast as I could. I was PRAYING and PRAYING. I'm not sure how much time went by. My tummy was killing me. I hurried past a man and his wife and heard him say something about me being in a hurry and had somewhere to go. I turned and said, "I can't find my daughter!" He said nothing. I thought he would have asked what she looked like and tried to help look for her. After searching outside, I went back inside and looked where we had been sitting. Then I looked on the stage and there she was right by the microphone with some adults. The lady said she saw her in the parking lot and she looked like she wasn't with anyone. I thanked her. Aubryn cried the whole way home. "I wasn't lost! I didn't know where you were." She had told the lady her name and my name. I am so thankful she is okay. I'm even emotional about it. All the worst was running through my head. She could have been hurt-bad. Aubryn is a free spirit. I don't think she is afraid of anything. I am so thankful my prayers were answered and I found her safe. Prayer works. Never doubt it.

Museum fun

We took the kids to a museum of a nearby town. They had a flag exibit. Brad has been fasinated with flags and anything to do with the flag. This museum had more than just flag stuff. It had history of the town. Brad was very interested. He listened to the whole tour.
Look what van we passed on the freeway!
Those are my two boys in the crazy hats. Brad is wearing his uncle sam hat and Reagan is wearing one from a display.
Reagan was getting a little hard to contain. He is hiding behind the buggy in this picture. He went under the rope and started pushing the doll. I thought the buggy was going to break!
So, we found our own buggy and strapped him in.
Here they are in front of the flag display. Doesn't Brad look happy?
This calf was born and only lived a few minutes. Aubryn pumping water. Doesn't Brian's hair look nicer today?

Brian milking wierd plastic udders.

First Mow!!!!!!

Brian mowed the backyard tonight! Woo Hoo!! I looked out my window when he was done and saw my kids running around on the grass playing and I almost cried. (Cut me some slack, I am pregnant.) All the hard work has paid off. This is what we imagined!
Brian blew up the kids pool. whew! Lung power! That last picture cracks me up.

Quick Funny

I had to take Reagan out of sacrament meeting twice yesterday because he was laughing so loud! That is a first. He has the best laugh, but it was distracting.

And here we have Idaho

Happy Father's Day! Brian is a GREAT father! (He's taking a nape on the sofa as we speak, or type. As he should today!) I feel very blessed to have a wonderful father too.

We are in Idaho for the weekend. We went to an air show in Rexburg. It was really cool to see the old planes fly right over our heads. They did some amazing stunts. Brad loved to watch the "clown plane". It would free fall and then get control and barely miss the earth. It landed on a truck. Pretty fun!! We heard Reagan say, "WHOOA!" lots and lots. He would also put his finger over his mouth and say, "shhhhh" to the noisey planes.

Oh man! I just jumped up and ran to check on Reagan. I heard him in the other room saying, "Ewww!" I thought I would find a mess. (You know, the BAD kind) He was holding a naked Ken doll. I ran for that?!

What kind of mother are you?!

Our basement is so close to being done. Contractor man is putting the bathroom sink in as we speak. (actually, I think I just heard him drive away!) After he is done they will come through and touch up paint. Then - Ta DAA! It's all ours!! Yeah.
The kids love playing down there. they run and run and run! We put a monitor down there so that I can hear them. Earlier this morning I was upstairs and could hear Reagan crying faintly in the background. It got quiter and stopped, so I figured he was fine. Later when contractor man came to the door I walked downstairs with him.
"Where's Reagan?" I asked Brad.
"I don't know." he said.
I walked down the hall and found one of the bedroom doors closed. I opened it and there he was laying on the floor almost asleep. He ran and snuggled into me. He must have shut the door behind him and couldn't open it. He was in there at least 1/2 an hour. I'm not sure! I felt so bad.

Let's go fly a kite!

We walked down to the park this Sunday afternoon. (I found a new double jogger stroller yesterday at a yard sale. We tested it out. Pretty good! I found some great finds yesterday. It was fun!) The kids loved flying their kites! They all had a turn, even Reagan. Brad ran around and around the park. Aubryn just ran in little circles over and over. An interesting technique. Then I noticed as she spun that the string rapped around her neck more and more. Brian ran over and unraveld her. Lucky the wind was tame. I mostly laid on the grass. Cars that drove by probably wondered how that beached whale got all the way to the this park.
By the way, Brian and I saw a UFO or comet or meteor or something wierd in the sky. It was a huge flash that was there for awhile! Spooky.

GROSS!

Brian was cleaning the stinky fish tank this evening. It really needed done. It is a gross job that I stay away from. But Aubryn likes to help. Brian put the coral and rocks and things in the sink, gave Aubryn an old used toothbrush, and had her scrub all the black stuff off (I'm not sure what it is). She was doing great. They were singing and having a good time together. Then Brian turned and saw Aubryn SCRUBBING HER TEETH with the same groody toothbrush! I immediately brushed her teeth really well. I think we might not let her kiss us goodnight tonight. (Oh, we know that's not true. She's too darn cute!)

Celebration

Our tradition for Isaac's birthday is to eat donut holes (we ate donut holes for his first birthday. He ate the flakes of frosting. He couldn't eat well, so I didn't even try to do a cake.) at his grave for breakfast, sing happy birthday, and then go swimming (something Isaac loved). Here are some pictures from the day.Brad
Aubryn
Reagan ate SO MANY donut holes. I lost count.

Happy 6th Birthday, Isaac!! June 2nd 2002.

I kind of doubt that there is the internet in heaven. But I'll pretend that Isaac reads my blog today.
I miss you with all my heart. I can't believe you would be 6 years old!

I miss your laugh! I miss your cheeks. I miss holding you so much! You had such a strong spirit in our home. I don't know how I've lived without you. I think of you so much still. I hate that you had to leave us. I long for the day when we'll be together again.

Happy Birthday!!
