Basketball

Last night I went to Brad's basketball game. They scored 10 points! It was so exciting.

There was a man sitting behind me that was really into the game. His boy was on the other team. I listened to him through most of the first half and just thought he was kind of annoying. Then he told his kid to go out there and kick some a**. I was sitting there with my little kids and turned around and put my hand on his knee and patted it. (which I'm pretty sure he didn't like) Then I said, "There are kids right here. (pointing to Aubryn) And there are kids out there. (pointing to the 7 and 8 year old boys playing ball.) Later in the game I made a lighthearted comment about the game to the guy. He put his hand up and said, "I don't like her. She's to strict." He wouldn't talk to me.

Today

Brad is always at school when I take pictures. I took this before he went of to school.

Reagan had a rough day yesterday. First, the mark on the chin. He fell and hit the end table. He bit the inside of his lower lip. Ouch. Second, do you see the line on his forhead? He fell and hit our baseboard. Ouch! He's also got horrible diaper rash that makes him walk funny. Ohh.

It's amazing all the cleaning I got done while they watched this show. (Although, I do feel a bit guilty for using the T.V. to keep them out of my way)

This must be a good show. You can take all the pictures you want while they watch and they don't care!

Hangin' around the house

I walk out for a minute! Aubryn took a cup from her play kitchen, filled it with water, and she got him.

Roll the ball to me!

Like mother, like daughter?

This was the 23rd.
She was so excited!
Wow! That was easy!

Breech Baby

Today Aubryn stuck a tiny baby doll in her play cash register. When she couldn't get it out she asked Brian for help. He began shaking the register till it came to the opening. He said, "the baby is coming! Almost here. Just a little more. Oh NO! It's feet first!" That struck me so funny. He got the baby out. She stuck it back in.

I am playing fetch with Reagan. I know that sounds bad, but that is what it amounts to. He loves balls. He has got quite the arm too! He just learned to say "ball" yesterday. It is exciting. He also said "hot" for the first time. I love it when they start to communicate.
It is kind of ironic that yesterday I wrote that I would miss changing diapers. This morning, Reagan had one of his worst. A small set of stirups would have been very helpful. He was headed staight to the tub, but stopped on the way to pee on the carpet. EWE!
Brad came home frome school with a "Principal's award". I asked what he did to earn it and he said "I was a super citizen". Way to go!

Tonight we went to Brad and Brian's Basketball games. Brad has run out of his last two games crying. But tonight he played till the end. He did great!!! He even attempted to make a basket! He said after the game that his coach wouldn't stop rubbing his head. I was so proud of him. Way to go Brad- Again!

Brian did great too. Reagan loves to watch! Brian's parents came to watch. They were really into the game. You would have thought it was the championship game. OHHH! EEE! (hands on faces) Brian's mom whistled (loud, and Reagan loved it) every time his team made a basket. Which was kind of funny because we were the ONLY people there watching the game.

Here are some pictures of Aubryn and Reagan from this morning.

Good Day

When I woke up this morning it looked very gloomy outside. It still does.
The sky is grey and it is snowing a bit.
I am ready for spring. I am ready to go on walks outside.
But I feel good inside. I have a lot to feel good about. I love my family.
I have a great husband who is stuck at work today.
He does it to take good care of us.
I was playing with Aubryn and Reagan this morning and I love to hear them laugh. Reagan would give me a big cheesy smile. I would do it back and he would laugh and laugh. Aubryn and I read books this afternoon. She asked lots of questions and I rarely read every word. Aubryn and Brad are downstairs now (Unfinished basement) playing and Aubryn runs up to me every few minutes to tell me what is new.
So, I am grateful. Someday I will miss changing diapers. (right? okay, maybe not the real gross ones) But I will miss the little footsteps I hear running through the house. Always having a little body to stick in the front of the shopping cart. (and a second little body to stick in the back of the cart- who usually smashes the bread)
The laughter. And, most of all, "MOMMY!"
Some days I wonder why I haven't gotten anything done. Why I look like a mess. And I wonder when it will end. But, in reality, I don't want it to.

Brad can ski!

Brian took Brad to the sledding hill and taught him how to ski. It wasn't easy. But he finally started to catch on. A few more practice runs and he'll be ready to hit the slopes!

My Funny Valentines

Brad helped Aubryn and Reagan do a Valentine dance for Brian and I
They played Disney music and danced and danced!!
My funny Valentines

Here they are dancing. We had a nice candle light dinner with the whole family. Brian gave me some tulips, a card, and some baloons that the kids fought over all day. I made Brian a giant heart shaped oatmeal cookie (his favorite). Brad brought home lots of treats from his school Valentine's party. He was nice to share, and that made Aubryn happy. It also put them on a crazy sugar high, which made me happy. ha ha Tomorrow Brian and I have a babysitter and are going to a church dinner/dance. I get to go fold napkins for it in the morning and bake lasagna's in the afternoon. Hope you all had a happy Valentines day!!

Swimming

My kids are swimming in the tub! Aubryn
Brad, Aubryn, & Reagan
Reagan
Brad
Brad made his room into Hawaii yesterday. He drew a large palm tree and hung it on his wall. He layed beach towels on the floor and played hawaiian music. He even put on his shorts!
Yesterday Aubryn jumped out of the swing hung in the basement. But Brian didn't know she expected him to catch her. He saw her fall and tried to grab her, but she hit the concrete floor face first. He brought her upstairs to me andshe was bleeding out her nose and her mouth. After cleaning her up, the only injury she has is a cut inside her upper lip! Her lip really hurt and we kept ice on it. It is unnoticeable in her picture above, and that was taken the same evening. I was amazed that she fell about 4 feet flat on her face and is okay! I thought of all the possibilities as I cleaned her up. It was a lot of blood. Someone has an angel.

Brad had parent teacher conferences and did very well! So we all went sledding.
Aubryn loves the snow.
Reagan, not so much.
So he went back to the car and had a sucker.
